Chipotle MEXICAN Grill restaurants can not be referred to as novices when it comes to taking part in CORRUPTION.

Kinda makes us at AnotW think about the type of clientele who frequent this restaurant chain, and why Chipotle MEXICAN Grill restaurants are still not being penalized heavily by the same government that is all too quick to penalize hard working U.S.A. citizens. WASHINGTON - Miguel Bravo's year-and-a-half-long stint working at a Chipotle in Washington, D.C., came to an abrupt end on March 9. That day, he says, he and his co-workers learned that their manager had just been let go in the midst of an audit of the burrito chain by U.S. immigration officials. Chipotle's Undocumented-Worker Problem Resurges

Chipotle (CMG), the fast-growing, burrito-slinging chain, has become the government’s highest-profile target in its campaign against employers of illegal immigrants. For the past two years, Chipotle has been subject to a probe by the U.S. Attorney’s office in Washington and the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Now the Securities and Exchange Commission is looking into Chipotle’s statements and disclosures for possible criminal wrong doing, the company revealed in a regulatory filing on May 22. (more)
